Tapio Koivu, Executive Director, Heureka Science Centre

Chairman of the AEM 2017

Through the years up to now, Dr. Tapio Koivu has been active in a number of boards of start-ups (Solucel oy, Envault corp, Vergo Oy, Plexpress Oy, Zora Biosciences, Global Eco Solutions Oy), chair of an investment committee of a start-up fund (Seed Cap II) and active in different business development functions (Venture Cup Foundation, board) as well. Mr Koivu has also had a key role in creating various innovation platforms, such as Helsinki Think Company and InnoHub Oy, a joint company between VTT and Philips. He was appointed to the position of Executive Director of Heureka in August 2014. From 2011 to early 2013 he was director of Research Affairs at the University of Helsinki. Prior to this, he was Executive Vice President at Technical Research Center of Finland (VTT). Michael Enberg, Managing Director, Maersk Finland Oy

Mr Michael Enberg started his career in shipping and forwarding 1980 as a transport officer for a turn-key consulting company in Libya and then for a logistics company in Saudi-Arabia. Since then he has worked extensively for the shipping and forwarding industry both in Finland and abroad. As from 1991 he has held several industry positions as managing director.
