Ulla Keino has a variable career over 30 years in supply chain management and logistics, and her knowledge of global value chains covers all product types from lipsticks  to car tyres, from Masters’ paintings to copy machines, from tractors to laptops. Ms Keino is specialized in turning challenges into opportunities, seeing problems as reasons to stop, think and to find a solution.

SeaFocus represents all that Ms Keino believes in. Dynamic group of entrepreneurs and partners, looking for win win – better maritime for the future to serve all parties in the value chain. She is the CEO of SeaFocus as well as the majority shareholder. Frank Kho was earlier working as a Global Head, Market Intelligence, Strategy and Development at Kalmar, the Netherlands. As member of the Kalmar Leadership Team, he was responsible for Market Intelligence, Strategy and Offering development at Kalmar. Mr. Kho has over 20 years of industry experience in several senior management positions at world's leading port operators, such as the Antwerp terminals of PSA and several terminals of HPH. He headed container operations with significant operational efficiencies in cost per unit moved and, most notably, with improved service levels. Mr. Kho has an outstanding track record in terminal management at leading ports throughout Europe and Asia, where he has championed operational efficiency and cost reduction strategies, terminal design and team development.

Pekka Vauramo, President and CEO of Finnair as of 1 June 2013. Pekka Vauramo joined Finnair from Cargotec, a Finnish cargo and load handling company, where he held different management position between 2007 and 2013. Before his transfer to Finnair, Pekka Vauramo was based in Hong Kong since 2010 as COO of the MacGregor Business Area. Between 1985 and 2007 Mr Vauramo worked at Sandvik, a Swedish mining and construction company.

Mr Vauramo also serves as a member of the Board of Glaston PLC (since 2011) and the Board of Boliden Group (since 2016). During Pekka Vauramo's time, Finnair has completed a major cost saving and restructuring program, preparing the company for a growth phase, which started in 2015.

Marcus Ejdersten has worked in the marine industry since his completing of his Master in Science at the Royal Institute of Technology, Sweden, in 2004. He joined MacGregor in 2007 as a member of company’s Container ships team. Since 2015 Marcus has lead MacGregor’s Strategic Marketing for the company’s extensive portfolio of solutions to the Marine and Offshore industries.

In the last couple of years, Ahlers Russia launched several new products on the Russian market which enlarges its traditional range of logistic services, becoming a product designer and a system integrator. Over the period he has been in charge of Russia, turnover has been multiplied by 10, and Ahlers CIS & The Baltic States has been transformed to the group’s best performer, as well as on quality and innovation as on profits. Since 2017 he took over the responsibility of the division Projects & Machinery on a global base, refocused the service offering and brought results back in line with, and above market standards.

Tom O Kleppestø has been the General Manager of Shipping & Offshore Network since 2008 and Secretary to the Board of Oslo Shipowners’ Association since 2010. He took over as General Manager of Ocean Industry Forum Oslofjord in January 2018 after Vidar Pederstad, former director of Nor-Shipping, who took up the position of director of the S/S Christian Radich Foundation. These three associations have now formed a collaboration called Maritime Oslofjord.

Mr Kleppestø established and ran the Maritime Trainee Programme for the Norwegian Shipowners’ Association for ten cohortes from 2004 to 2017. He was also responsible for the development and implementation of the association’s top executive programme Marex from 2010 to 2016, together with academic partner Duke University in the USA. He is also currently working to establish a Centre for Ocean Business (OBZ) at BI Norwegian Business School together with professor Torger Reve.

Gunnar Mansfeld is responsible for the overall operation and result of the Group. Mr Mansfeld has a dual responsibility as CEO of Primest Trade Ltd, the trading arm of the group. He has over 25 years international management experiences from across the Globe, with hands-on working experience from China, Europe, Russia, across most of Asia, Latin America, North America, Oceania and Africa.

Concurrent with his position at Primest, Mr Mansfeld is also Executive Director of Norebo group, a global market leader in Seafood industry. Mr Mansfeld also serves as Director on regional and global boards, advising on growth and globalisation. Prior to founding Primest Group, Mr Mansfeld was CEO of Three Towns Capital Group, Mr Mansfeld also held senior finance and general management positions for Alfa Laval AB, a Swedish MNC.

Mr Mansfeld has a degree from Linkopings University (Sweden) in Business Administration.

Heli Koukkula-Teixeira has over 20 years of experience in international project co-ordination and event management. She has worked several years for the Ministry of Transport and Communications of Finland as well as for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Finland as an important member of the coordinating groups of international development programmes. Furthermore, she has many years experience in organizing several international as well as national events, seminars and conferences from the idea to the implementation and co-operation with corporate and institutional bodies. Ms Koukkula-Teixeira is a specialist in marketing and communications.

Nor-Shipping Director Per Martin Tanggaard is committed to helping the maritime industry access new business opportunities in the ocean space.

A part of the team since 2015, Mr Tanggaard assumed his current role in 2018 and has since driven Nor-Shipping’s evolution; increasing the focus on innovation, sustainability and the ocean industries. He is also a supporter of increased diversity in maritime and was Norway’s first male member of WISTA (Women’s International Shipping & Trading Association).

Mr Tanggaard has extensive experience of the shipping and offshore segments, having previously worked for Wartsila Ship Design and Lorentzen & Stemoco.

ANTTI JUSSILA, Department Manager, Sweco Structures Ltd

Antti Jussila has 14 years of experience in infrastructure design. He has mostly dealt with bridge design projects including project management and expert tasks. One of the highlights in Mr Jussila’s career so far has been the Ring Road III upgrade in Helsinki area including more than 30 bridges and other structures. All the construction works were done immediately next to one of the busiest roads in Finland. Project was completed on time and under budget! He was responsible for bridge and structural design in this 110M€ project.

Now Mr Jussila is working in the Europe’s leading architecture and engineering consultancy Sweco. He’s responsibility is to expand our infrastructure business to international markets. It’s not only about bridges anymore now we are talking about other fields of infrastructure as well, like ports and marine structures. Sweco has a strong global competence in marine field. YVONNE RYDING, Owner, CEO, Yvonne Ryding Cosmetics AB

In the early 1980s, Yvonne Ryding´s focus was to become an aesthetician nurse or midwife. That fate would be anything but what Yvonne had imagined, she soon became aware. In 1984, she was persuaded to stand up in the Miss Sweden Competition, a competition that Yvonne won, why she represented Sweden in the Miss Universe Contest that was the year in Miami, Florida. To her big shock and surprise, she also won this competition. Her life was completely changed from one day to the next. One year followed by international travel, and acting as ambassador for women, being a spokesperson for a number of well-known brands as well as being active in charity work. 

In 1995, she took her secret dream of creating a completely new Swedish, natural skin care series. YR skin care series is based. In 1997 she introduced it to the Swedish market, since then it has been in different costumes but always the same qualities. Naturally based, active ingredients of natural origin and Swedish made. In 2018, YR Skin Care celebrated 21 years on the market, with 23 years of work.

Marina Hasselblatt has been working in the cargo business since 1993. Today she is in charge of cargo sales activities as well as the TallinkSilja Cargo booking and check-in offices in Helsinki and Turku. As she herself started here cargo career in the booking office, the development of booking and check-in routines is very close to her heart.  When Tallink, Superfast and Silja Line joined forces in 2006 she built up a common central Cargo booking office in Helsinki. This office is still working according to the same model, and now Ms Hasselblatt is constantly trying to find more sustainable and effective solutions to the operations.​

Ulla Tapaninen has over 25 years of experience in logistics and transport research and development work with dozens of academic and professional publications to her name. She has worked for ten years as a development manager and environmental manager in a large Finnish roro-shipping company Finnlines plc. Between 2006 and 2012 she worked as a professor of maritime logistics in the University of Turku specializing in maritime and port operations, safety and IT. She has worked as a researcher, project director and board member in dozens of national and EU-funded projects in the areas of maritime and land transportation, logistics information handling and transportation safety and environment. She is a board member of ESL Shipping since 2012 and a chairman of the board of Finnish Logistics Forum which nominates the most distinguished persons and academic works in the area of logistics in Finland.

ROLF NEISE, Senior Consultant, HPMlog Project & Management Consultants GmbH

Dr Rolf Neise is currently working as a freelance consultant supporting multinational companies to optimize their supply chain management and logistics structures and as a lecturer at the International School of Management (ISM). He has just written a book for a well-known international publisher on integrating container logistics into the shippers’ supply chain. It is the first book on the market looking at container logistics from a shipper’s perspective.

Prior to that Rolf was working as the Global Head of Logistics Operations at BAT (British American Tobacco plc.), in charge of defining BAT’s Logistics Strategy in the End-to-End Supply Chain. He held a number of operational and strategic roles across the BAT group in Germany and in the UK and was an essential member of the first truly global organisational set up in BAT, the Global Leaf Pool.

​Mr Neise majored in economic engineering at the Technical University Berlin and wrote his doctoral thesis on transport logistics at the University of Stuttgart.

Henri Paukku is the Director for Cooperation & Funding at MacGregor R&D and Technology since 2016. Throughout his 19 years  of professional career, Henri Paukku has always worked within the shipping industry. Starting his career as Service Engineer at Auramarine Oy and later as project manager at Rolls-Royce. After joining MacGregor he has lead design and project management teams. Prior to his current position he was in charge of Product platform development and services development in MacGregor Cargo Handling Division.

Blasco Majorana with his 13 years experience in the shipping sector has developed competences in fleet management, liner service configuration and asset optimization. Nowadays he is managing a liner service between the Baltic see and the Bay of Biscay as well as sharing responsibilities for the main Customers portfolio. Previously he worked nine years at the Grimaldi Group in Naples-Itlay, of which Finnlines is a daughter company. During his experiences he has developed a wide know how in different transport areas such as forest product, machinery, automotive, container as well as car carriers and multipurpose roro vessels. Esko Mustamäki, MSc in Engineering and Shipbuilding, has worked as CEO for Arctech Helsinki Shipyard Since April 2011. Prior to joining Arctech Helsinki Shipyard he was employed by Wärtsilä Marine in 1980 and after that he has been employed by F-G Shipping Inc., Finnlines Plc, Finstaship and SET-Group Ltd.

Purnachand Valluru is a masters degree student currently pursuing Msc. in International Business and Entrepreneurship at University of Jyväskylä, Finland. Prior to coming to finland, he finished his bachelors in BSc. Financial Management at the University of Essex, U.K. He also interned for various companies during his bachelors which are involved in finance, telecommunication and advertising. He was responsible for starting an e-commerce company with his partners which was an online platform which revolutionised the home-improvement and construction industry online. He later sold the company and moved to Finland to pursue his masters. He was also an active participant of Intelligence hunt since the beginning and now he is doing his master's thesis with Tallink Silja on improving the cargo check-in of their ships at various Baltic ports.

Manuel Kronseder is a former two-time Intelligence Hunt finalist, who shows that curiosity and enthusiasm don’t have to be limited to one kind of industry or field. He has worked for example in one of the biggest producers of premium cars but was also a consultant for a global leader of water management systems for the maritime industry. His studies brought him to Finland where he is now working as an Engineer at the leading global developer and supplier of technologies, automation and services for paper and energy industries. Besides this knowledge he can offer 26 years of life experience and owns a M.Sc in automotive engineering from the Technische Universität Ilmenau in Germany.

Saiful Islam received his B.Sc. in Electronics and Communication Engineering in 2008 from Khulna University, Bangladesh. His M.Sc. in Electrical Engineering has been obtained in 2014 from Tampere University of Technology, Finland. He was engaged in academic research sector for a short time span before coming to Finland. Currently, he is at the final stage of his second M.Sc. in Automation Engineering from the same university. He has a strong research interest in information systems and IoT application in shipping business.

Robert Talling studies Computer Engineering at Åbo Akademi University in Turku, Finland. He is experienced in User-centred design, Systems Engineering and Machine Learning. His main interest is finding out how companies can benefit from automation and AI to   improve safety, quality of work and increase efficiency. Currently he is working in the field of Autonomous Ship design as a trainee with the focus on safety assessment of autonomous systems.
