"REDEFINING THE PORT AGENCY VALUE PROPOSITION FOR CRUISE MAJORS AND PASSENGER VESSEL PRINCIPALS CALLING FINLAND"
Let me present you the "Maritime Mavericks", students working on this case, who originate from from Finland, Russia, Nepal, Indian and Vietnam. They study at Novia University of Applied Sciences,Turku, Finland, Makarov State University of Maritime and Inland Shipping, Russia, Satakunta University of Applied Sciences, Finland, Lappeenranta University of Applied Sciences, Finland and Arcada University of Applied Sciences, Helsinki, Finland.
Part of our project is to bring the students to meet the clients in their offices in different locations. Yesterday a 2nd year student from Arcada University of Applied Sciences student Hung Nguyen Phuong together with the Finals moderator and a student Finalist from the previous 3 Intelligence Hunts, Purnachand Valluru, from the Jyväskylä University, visited the office of C & C Port Agency and the port, where Viking Cruises´ Viking Star was berthing.
During the project we will arrange company visits and excursions for larger groups of stakeholders and students. A great example of this is our excursion to the Northsea Port of Helsinki, where we will pay a visit to a Star Class vessel of Finnlines Grimaldi Group company (100 first registered) and after that a visit to the Arctech Helsinki Shipyard (50 first registered). These excursions are a side programme of the #IntelligenceHunt4 project Finals, and take place the day after the Finals 14.11.2018 onboard #SeaFocusStrategicPartner M/S Silja Symphony.
