Ocean Exchange – 2021 Important Milestone - Celebrating its´ Tenth Anniversary

Ocean Exchange has the sole mission to help advance the adoption of solutions in the field of sustainability. They seek solutions with working prototypes that reduce waste and the use of nature’s resources while increasing productivity and respecting cultures around the world. Ocean Exchange hosts an annual event each fall where at least ten finalists pitch, competing for one of two $100,000 cash awards. Presentations are done in front of 100-150 hand-selected delegates from business, government, and academia who vote who receives the awards. At this same event, eight collegiate finalists pitch for the $10,000 Broward College Innovation Award. Ocean Exchange is an Associate Partner to SeaFocus. The Next Finals in Fall 2021 After much thoughtful consideration, the Board of Directors and Management of the Ocean Exchange have decided to defer the 2020 fall event in Fort Lauderdale to fall of 2021 with normal schedule.  “There is sufficient uncertainty about travel, social distancing models, and the timing of economic recovery that this course of actions seems to be the most prudent. The event location in Fort Lauderdale for fall 2021 will be announced later but we assure that the choice will delight Ocean Exchange attendees. With this timeline our 2021 Call for Solutions should be issued during first quarter, 2021”, says Millicent Pitts, the CEO of the Ocean Exchange.
