Mr. Reko-Antti Suojanen, CEO, Aker Arctic Technology
Mr. Reko-Antti Suojanen (Naval Architect M.Sc.) has worked in a variety of marine and computer technology organisations. His roles in marine organisations have included concept designer, researcher, and management positions. In computer technology organisations, Mr. Suojanen worked as a CFD application specialist.
He began his career in 1996 at Kvaerner Masa-Yards Turku Shipyard, working as a hydrodynamicist and project engineer, and later served the Finnish IT centre for science (CSC) under the auspices of the Ministry of Education. After that he joined the team at the Masa-Yards Arctic Research Centre, working as an arctic marine engineer and project manager. Mr. Suojanen has been involved in numerous arctic shipping projects, and joined the newly founded Aker Arctic Technology Inc at the beginning of 2005, where he was responsible for managing arctic consultation services, coordinating research and development, and managing larger client projects. Today he is the managing director of Aker Arctic Technology Inc.
He has also been published in international journals and given presentations at numerous international maritime conferences.
