Dr. Sebastian Jürgens, CEO, Lübecker Hafen-Gesellschaft mbH
Prof. Dr. SEBASTIAN JÜRGENS, born in 1963, has been CEO responsible for Sales & Marketing and Operations at LHG since January 2014.
Previously Dr. Jürgens was Honorary Professor of Logistics at the Technical Unversity of Berlin. Prior to that, from 2009, he was a member of Executive Board of Hamburg Hafen Logistik AG (HHLA) responsible for the Logistics and Intermodal Divisions. Dr. Jürgens was able to draw on his experience at Deutsche Bahn, where he was a member of the Divisional Board and member of the Executive Board in charge of the Intermodal Division.
He finished his legal studies as Assessor. In addition he achieved a Ph.D. in philosophy.
Dr. Jürgens began his professional career at McKinsey & Co and in a law firm.
